German Chamomile's aromatic, slightly bitter taste, reminiscent of apples, is familiar to herbal tea drinkers. It is an excellent herb for many digestive disorders and for nervous tension and irritability. Gentle and efficacious, the herb is very sutable for children and valuable for pain, gas, bloating, colic, acidity, and gastritis. It is also used for hiatal hernai, peptic ulcer, Chron's Disease, and irritable bowel syndrome. German Chamomile contains a strong antipasmodic which eases tenses muscles and period pain as well as emotional symptoms associated with PMS. This herb is also useful for hay fever and asthma. 
 
Externally, it is used for sore skin and eczema. It can be applied to itchy skin, as well as sore nipples and breasts, making it a perfect herb for nursing mothers.
