Rest has been the theme for this month, not just this here at HJWB but in general. There is a side of the internet where rest is the main and ONLY focus as we end this year and move into the new one. I've been seeing this post circulating on several of my favorite social media accounts and I couldn't agree more.
It's a beautiful concept isn't it?
But can we be honest, for some of us it's not that easy. How can it be? How can you truly rest when your bills are due, your heart is aching, or whatever else you may be experiencing that is keeping your head and heart in a chokehold.
Earlier this month we discussed the seven different types of rest and I think its safe to say that the same can be applied to the different types of release we experience. In my experience, there are two main ways that most people experience release: physical and energetic.
Physical Release
Did you know that your body stores tension and stress? Think about it. You're stressed about work and all of a sudden you experience a headache. Or your cycle gets thrown off. Or you realize that you are stiff and tense in your body. There are several ways to release physically such as getting a massage, exercising, or even practicing various breathing techniques.
Energetic Release
The law of conservation of energy states that energy can neither be created nor destroyed - only converted from one form of energy to another. So how can one experience an energetic release? I believe this is where transmutation comes in. As womb keepers, we have the ability to transmute the energy (or vibe) we experience into anything we desire. Feelings angry? Use that energy to fuel productivity. Feeling overwhelmed? Release that energy into creativity. Reiki and other energetic techniques provide a beautiful opportunity to experience a release by moving the energy out of the body into the earth. Visualization and crystals are also great tools to help you move the energy out of your body.
There are various ways that you can experience a release during your season of rest, and the fun part is exploring the ways that work for you.
If you are looking for a way to release and restore yourself as you transition into the new year, we invite you to join us for our annual group meditation and sound bath on Saturday, December 31, 2022, at 3 pm.
Your release is calling. Will you answer?
